How can I earn?

You can earn from investing in the stock market by:

1. Buying stocks at a lower price and selling them at a higher price.
2. Receiving dividend payments from some companies you own shares in.

Do your stocks give out dividends or cap appreciation only?

The stocks can earn through either dividends or capital appreciation.

The dividend will be paid out during the dividend payout date in proportion to the number of stocks that you have one trading day before the ex-dividend date, which is usually anywhere from 1 week or more prior to the dividend payout date.

Where can you find your dividend payouts?

You can track your dividend payouts through the ‘All History’ page as it automatically reflects from there.

Do you support OTC stocks?

For the benefit of our customers, we've chosen not to support OTC stocks.

One significant reason not to list OTC (Over-the-Counter) stocks is the lack of regulatory oversight and transparency compared to stocks listed on major stock exchanges.

Here’s a more detailed explanation:

Lack of Regulatory Oversight: OTC stocks are not subject to the same rigorous regulatory requirements as stocks listed on major exchanges like the NYSE or NASDAQ. This can result in limited disclosure, making it challenging for investors to obtain accurate and up-to-date information about the company’s financial health, operations, and governance.

Lower Liquidity: OTC stocks often have lower trading volumes and liquidity compared to exchange-listed stocks. This lower liquidity can make it difficult to buy or sell shares at desired prices, potentially leading to larger bid-ask spreads and increased trading costs.

Limited Analyst Coverage: OTC stocks typically receive less attention from financial analysts and institutional investors. As a result, there may be fewer research reports and insights available to help investors make informed decisions.

Higher Risk: OTC stocks are generally riskier investments due to the lack of oversight and transparency. Investors may be more exposed to fraudulent schemes, manipulation, and companies with questionable financials.

Do stocks expire?

Since we only offer shares of stocks, there is no expiration date. When you buy shares of a company's stock, you're purchasing a piece of ownership in that company, and there's no predetermined date when your ownership expires.

The idea of "expiry" mainly applies to certain financial contracts, like options and futures, which involve agreements to buy or sell stocks at specific prices on specific dates. If you're just buying and holding shares of stock, you don't need to worry about expiration dates – you can hold them for as long as you want, and they won't expire.

What is PDT or Pattern Day Trader?

Pattern-day-trader designation is given by FINRA(a regulatory organization in the United States) to those who buy/sell the same "asset" (like stocks) more than 3 times in a day. As a form of protection, the broker simply denies the customer the ability to make beyond 3 trades of the same asset in a day.

The PDT count should be reset when the market opens later, so you can trade as per normal, until you max out the daily trade count allowed on a single stock again (only up to 3 trades allowed).

How much do we need to start investing?
